The White-Breasted Robin is very friendly but just a little shy. When I stand or sit perfectly still they will come to within 2 metres but if I make the slightest movement they are off.

These pictures were taken when the robins were attracted by ant eggs that had fallen out of firewood being split next to the carport. I believe that they were nesting at that time (August) within 20 metres of our front door. I watched their courting antics in the orchard. The male pointed his beak straight up and chirruped. The female sat on a nearby branch watching him. Then the male flew off to his next gig and the female followed him.
