As I was sitting outside for breakfast this morning(March 2011) I spotted this unusual visitor sticky beaking into the flowers in front of me. I dashed into the house for my binocs, birdbook and camera. These pics are the result. Where were the New Hollanders today? They usually mob honyeaters of other species and drive them away. We have had very dry weather for months now and perhaps the ground level flowers are becoming too scarce for their larger group.
